I’m Vitonicka, a Czech writer, illustrator and artist.

As you might guess, Vitonicka is just my nickname, but somehow it stayed with me. It carries memories of my first dog and the nick I used back in my gaming days. So why not keep it?

I’m someone who holds endless curiosity and love for writing, art, traveling, and nature. I’m antevasin. An in-between. The one who lives by the border because I renounce to the comfort of family life in order to seek enlightenment. And I decided to weave all of that into my art, dreams, and life. But first, before that...

Some time ago, I finally took a leap of faith, left my soul-destroying marketing job, and wrapped everything in a wish to escape the hamster wheel, slow down, and unfold the life of an artist in peaceful days. But over time, I realized I made a mistake. I confused slowness and calm for stillness. And that doesn’t bring me joy either. It turned out that balance is the answer.​

• A little discipline, a lot of creativity.

• A touch of simplicity and a lot of spontaneous chaos.

• A few days in the city and plenty of time in nature.

• A cozy chez-moi, a lot of traveling.

• A bit of solitude and lots of talkative, cheerful friends around. Perfetto!
