There is no prize to perfection

Can a piece of art move you enough to change your life? Is it bold to say that a TV series can do that?
Yes it can. And no, it isn't. I've been there.
For me, the life-changing spark is the story and visual art of Arcane: League of Legends. This revolutionary Emmy Award-winning series by French animation studio Fortiche and American video game developer Riot Games helped me take a leap of faith... becoming a freelance illustrator and writer. After spending 13 years at a digital agency.
The ground feels unsteady, but it’s the only way that makes sense to me. And I borrowed one quote from Arcane to help me not be paralyzed by my perfectionism and do the damn thing I've been dreaming of for so long.
When every equation was solved, all that remained were fields of dreamless solitude. There is no prize to perfection. Only an end to pursuit.
And I have to mention one more thought from Arcane creators, Christian Linke & Alex Yee, from the behind the scenes book Art of Arcane.
And maybe, when you are worried about your ideas not working or if your vision is too much, you too can look on Arcane and know that you can bring your dreams to life too.
Thank you guys. And thank you all my friends for your support and letting me be me. 🩵
What else to add? Maybe just a lil picture by Barthelemy Maunoury, Co-Director of Arcane, Fortiche Production, that he did to celebrate their success on the Annie Awards. And "shitty sketch" (as he called it) that he drew as a concept on his phone when he couldn't find sleep.
What a beautiful example that the prize is not so much for perfection, but for the hard work of dreamers. I dare to dream too.

And finally here's my own illustration – actually a study, just to sharpen my instincts, eye and skills. It's not so shitty only thanks to Barthelemy's talent.
With love, Vi. ❤︎
