And then I slipped back into my head...

I’m lucky enough to live right next to a large château park. And you can probably imagine what it looks like there now in the spring. The magnolias and cherry trees are competing to see who has the pinker and fuller blossoms. Wild irises are beginning to take over the entire river’s oxbow. And the pines no longer feel so alone in all that greenery, because the birches, plane trees and willows are quickly catching up to them. And speaking of willows...
This morning I went for a walk in the park to stretch my legs a bit and especially clear my head... And that’s exactly what the weeping willows did! When you walk beneath them, they literally cascade over your head, gently touch you and clear your mind of unnecessary thoughts. It’s like walking under a green waterfall and let the day's worries wash away.
Now in spring, the willow leaves are a bright, light green, and since the trees grow in a nice cluster, everything around them shines too.
So as I approached them, the tree canopies formed a cozy hug, and suddenly I found myself in the world of Pocahontas, under the protection of Grandmother Willow. Everything seemed different. The grass was softer, the air fresher, and the greens greener...
"Good morning."
Ah! Was that a heron watching me the whole time?
Hmmm, and now it’s gone.
That’s because I slipped back into my head and returned to the real world... I sat down on a bench for a moment, but it didn’t come back. Maybe next time.
Till next time! With love, M.
